Bob Whalen

Bob is a technical coach with a passion for enabling technical transformations by coaching leadership, empowering teams and consulting on the creation of frictionless engineering processes that deliver quality software. He directly engages with engineers to help them realize the value of product agility and development operations for every level of the organization. Bob delivers technology workshops and immersive learning engagements and is skilled in creating psychologically safe learning environments that foster growth mindsets.

Bob has more than 20 years of experience as a software engineer, leader and coach. Most recently, he was technical lead for Target’s Dojo coaching teams through cloud and distributed systems modernization. Previously, he had a 15-year tenure with QVC Network, where was lead engineer for the company’s first DevOps team.

Bob is a Certified Scrum Master and a TBR Practitioner. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware.
